White Sangria is the perfect cocktail for brunches, patio parties, or just a hot summer afternoon! Sweet and delicious summer fruit is soaked in white wine, apricot brandy, and peach schnapps.

Top it off with some club soda or prosecco for a deliciously refreshing adult beverage!

Red wine sangria is the most commonly made sangria, but I love the crisp lighter flavor of a white wine sangria, especially in the heat. In the summer months, it seems we’re always entertaining or enjoying drinks on the deck with our neighbors.  I’ll often mix up a batch of this white peach sangria (and some fresh mojitos) and everyone loves it. It is light, full of delicious fruity flavor, and definitely packs a punch!

One great thing about this white sangria recipe is that it can be made in advance and refrigerated. This allows the flavors to blend and since the bubbly isn’t added until serving, it stays perfectly fresh!

Summer cocktails with few ingredients (like my favorite Easy Strawberry Margaritas) are my favorite kinds of recipes.  When it is time to serving time, just add some bubbly and it is good to go!

If you prefer a less intense sangria, just add a little more club soda when you serve it up. If you prefer a stronger one, add a little extra apricot brandy (I won’t tell anyone) or use prosecco! If you’d like to sweeten it, top it with a bit of ginger ale or other sweetened soda of your choice.

If you have any extra fruit, you could always add it! I love experimenting with different fruit when I make white sangria. I have had success adding apples, plums, apricots, and even halved grapes!

What is the Best White Wine to Make Sangria?

When you go into the store, ask for a dry, unoaked, and crisp white wine. I will often use a pinot grigio or a sauvignon blanc for this white sangria!

You want to select a fairly inexpensive bottle as you will be adding so many flavors into the sangria, but don’t opt for something too cheap, but something you’d still be able to drink on its own!

How To Make White Sangria

Start by prepping all of your fruit. You don’t need to worry about making sure it is in bite sized pieces, but keep the pieces as pretty as possible! No need to peel your citrus fruits (just give them a wash first).

Add the apricot brandy, peach schnapps, and chilled white wine to your pitcher. Next, stir in your prepared fruit. Stir and chill your white sangria for about 4 hours.

When it comes time to serve, add a little bit of the fruit from your pitcher into each glass. Fill each glass about ¾ full of the sangria mixture, then top it off with prosecco, club soda or ginger ale. Enjoy!

Easy White Sangria

This easy sangria is quick and refreshing.  It is loaded with fresh summery flavor.

Ingredients  

  • ½ cup apricot brandy
  • ¼ cup peach schnapps
  • 750 ml white wine 1 bottle
  • 2 oranges sliced
  • 2 limes sliced
  • 2 peaches pitted & sliced
  • 1 ½ cups strawberries halved
  • club soda prosecco or ginger ale, as needed

Instructions 

  • Combine brandy, peach schnapps and fruit. Add white wine.
  • Stir and refrigerate for up to 4 hours.
  • To serve, add fruit from the jug to the bottom of a glass. Fill ¾ with sangria. Top off with club soda or prosecco or gingerale if you prefer a sweeter sangria.

    What if you soak this overnight and serve the next day?

      We find it best if not left to sit for over 4 hours. When left too long the fruit can make the sangria taste bitter.
